Nando's Southampton - Guildhall

You're wandering down Above Bar Street after a browse through the shops, and that familiar red cockerel is calling your name. This particular Nando's sits pretty in the Arts Quarter, and frankly, it's one of the better ones you'll find in the city centre. The staff here actually seem to give a toss – your chicken arrives hot, your sides aren't forgotten, and they don't act like refilling the sauce bottles is beneath them. The space itself is standard Nando's fare, but the location makes it brilliant for a quick lunch between meetings or when you're showing visiting mates around town. It's busy enough to have that proper buzz going, especially weekend evenings, but not so rammed that you're queueing out the door. Plus, being right in the thick of things on Above Bar Street means you can easily roll into a proper pub afterwards.
