Walk past the Clock Tower towards Victoria Street and you'll spot Baked Nation tucked among the independent shops that make this stretch worth a wander. It's the kind of place where locals queue at 8am because the croissants are laminated properly and the sourdough has actual flavour—not that mass-produced plasticity you get elsewhere. You'll find yourself coming back for the brownies (genuinely good, not trying-too-hard good) and staying for the coffee, which is competent without being pretentious about it.
