You know what you're getting at this McDonald's tucked inside the Brunel Centre, and that's exactly the point. It's the reliable pit stop when you're dragging shopping bags around Canal Walk or need to fuel up the kids before they get properly grumpy. The location works brilliantly – you can grab a coffee and actually find a seat, unlike some of the cramped alternatives nearby. The staff here seem to have their act together more than most McDonald's branches, and the orders come out quickly even during busy Saturday afternoons when half of Swindon seems to descend on the shopping centre. It's nothing fancy, obviously, but it does what it says on the tin without the chaos you might expect from such a central spot.
