Walk into Illyrian and you've left the Black Country behind for a bit. The kitchen takes its Balkan heritage seriously, doing things properly rather than chucking everything under a 'Mediterranean' umbrella. You're looking at honest cooking from that part of the world — the kind of place where the owners care enough to get the details right. It sits nicely on Goodall Street in the town centre, unpretentious but clearly run by people who know their food. Worth ducking in for if you want something different from the usual Walsall offering.
