Head down Smith Street and you'll spot the queue snaking out of Bread & Co—it's that good. Inside feels lived-in and warm, the sort of place where your coffee arrives in mismatched pottery and the pastries look like they've just come out of the oven because they have. The sourdough is the real draw here; they've clearly put in the graft with fermentation times and proper technique. Brunch runs the gamut from loaded toast to eggs done right, and they're not messing about with portion sizes either. It's the kind of neighbourhood café that's earned its 4.7-star rating through sheer consistency rather than Instagram theatrics.
