Kandahar restaurant

Walk into Kandahar and you've left Watford behind—the space feels deliberately crafted, with that lounge bar vibe that makes you want to linger over a drink before (or instead of) food. The Afghan menu here isn't playing it safe; you're getting proper, flavourful cooking that knows what it's doing, whether that's their kebabs, their dals, or whatever's bringing in those consistently high marks from locals who clearly know the difference. St Albans Road's got plenty of options, but Kandahar's got the sort of thoughtful atmosphere that makes it worth the trip.
