Head down to Jaxons Court and you'll find yourself in one of Wigan's best-kept drinking spots. Tap 'n' Barrel does craft beer seriously without any of the pretention—the kind of place where the staff can actually tell you what's on tap and why it's worth trying. The atmosphere is relaxed enough that you can pop in for a quick pint after work, but lively enough when there's a crowd in. It's become a proper local favourite, and for good reason.
