You'll find this spot right on Low Ousegate with what's arguably one of York's best riverside terraces. Yes, it's part of the Slug & Lettuce chain, but the location does most of the heavy lifting here - perched perfectly along the Ouse with proper river views that make their cocktails taste considerably better. The terrace is where you want to be on anything resembling a decent day, watching the tour boats chug past while nursing a well-made mojito or their signature cocktails. Inside feels typically chain-ish but comfortable enough, and they know their way around a cocktail shaker.
