Swansea Grand Theatre

The Grand Theatre's cafe occupies the elegant foyer space, with its ornate period features and soaring ceilings creating an atmosphere that's both refined and welcoming. It's the sort of place where you can properly settle in with a book or catch up with friends before a show. The coffee here is surprisingly good – they take it seriously rather than treating it as an afterthought. The Welsh cakes are reliably excellent, and there's a decent selection of sandwiches and light bites that'll sort you out for lunch. It's only open weekdays until 4pm, which makes it feel like a local secret despite being right in the cultural quarter.
