Named after Wolverhampton Wanderers' most famous son, it's exactly what you'd expect – unpretentious, reliable, and packed with punters who know their onions when it comes to both football and ale. The interior won't win any design awards, but that's entirely the point. You're here for solid pub grub, well-kept beer, and the kind of atmosphere where you can actually hear yourself think (mostly). On match days, expect the volume to ramp up considerably as the gold and black faithful pile in before heading to Molineux.
